After the election, I've definitely seen a trend on Free Republic away from partisan rage and towards bigotry. Bigotry has always been a nontrivial part of Free Republic, but they seemed to keep in they're niche mostly. But lately they're infringing upon Stormfront and the like more and more.

I’m in Malta right now, and last night saw a really curious thing. A group of Maltese youts were chasing and pelting some layabout members of the ROP with bottles, rocks and trash. It got kinda ugly, until the Polizija stepped in. I had no idea why.

Normally, the Maltese are polite and fairly reserved, but then, after reading the news, it struck me: having been benovolently ruled for 150 years and defended during WW2 by the Brits, they were incensed and took sides.
