Saturday Pix

Bad. Ass.
Haw haw backward Africans. Now, can I interest you in some colloidal silver?
...yeah...
Chicago Titanic is cute, but alas, this still implies Obama and Michelle love each other.
Fear. Fear is the election winner.
See, I prefer this crap to the irresponsible fearmongering I'm hearing from Rush et. al.
Glad we got a family pic in there, at least.
Wow. I think the irony policy just surrendered.

  1. I was surprised to see that last picture on there. At least until I read the caption. Incredible projection there.

  2. I agree with Ozy's "Bad. Ass." comment on the first picture.
I'd have my portrait painted in that scene anytime ... combo of BadAss and SciFi.

  3. If there were ever a chance for Freepers to figure it out, this is it.

  4. That last one just shows that these people have enough projection to open a multiplex. Hell, a whole chain of multiplexes.

  5. RE: The wisdom of travel bans for ebola --
Frieden has said a ban is undesirable because it wouldn’t be 100% effective. That makes about as much sense as saying that because condoms are only about 96% effective in preventing sexually transmitted diseases, people should feel free to have as much unprotected sex as they please.
Would this sage wisdom ever be applied to, oh, I don't know, background checks for buying guns? I mean, since you can't stop all gun crimes, you might as well not try to stop any of them, because laws only hinder the law-abiding.

And really...give me a break with calling everything "PC." Political correctness has a specific definition. Saying that a strategy has flaws in it and may result in more harm than good isn't PC by any definition of the word. Can we just dispense with calling everything we don't like PC, whether or not it applies?

Isn't this the exact logic that Freepers and others like them use against gun control? Or at least one of the main ones?

    2. That was my point. :)

    3. In other words, they're insisting on a travel ban, even if it wouldn't be 100% effective (or worse, counterproductive), but they complain about gun control because it can't control everybody, so why bother.

Yeah, that's it. Why didn't I see it before? It's all so clear to me now.
