Impeachment

Newt Gingritch and also some Arizona Congressman have been throwing around impeachment of Obama. This really highlights the two flavors the vast majority of Freepers: the raving and the mercenary. The mercenary are ordinary partisans - they are always thinking about what would hurt Obama most. The raving think anything is possible in America, even the impeachment of Obama for Ultra-High-Devil-Treason before the 2012 elections.

When it comes to impeachment, at the moment the mercenary rule the day - this would not hurt Obama enough, what with the Dems controlling Congress. But that just makes Gingritch and Congressman Franks seem even more ridiculous, and the crazy of the ravers all the more delicious.

OldNewYork thinks impeachment is politcally awesome, for some reason:

The whole world can see for themselves what Democrats are about when an impeachment from the House comes before them to decide - there are far more Senators from their party up for election in 2012.

Plenty of Democrats have been switching to Republican as it is now anyway.

itsahoot thinks Obama is a dictator, because he hasn't been impeached:

I will believe otherwise when a single member of the GOP leadership starts holding hearings and issues subpoenas. He currently is in contempt of Two Federal Court Orders.
