Schedenfest 2011:KY

Schadenfest comes to a close in Kentucky, where Dems swept Governer, AG, Secretary of State, and a number of other executive posts. Now, these are Kentucky Dems, so I'm not sure I read a lot into it. Freepers do though!

The Working Man only trusts the Amish these days:

I believe it is mostly apathy and not wanting to rock the boat. The numbers of people here on welfare and assistance of one sort or another is amazing. I think they just want to watch TV and let the rest of the world leave them alone.

Of course there are notable exceptions like the Amish and many of my fellow farmers but even they just want to be left alone to live their lives in peace.

alstewartfan blames the loss of Sarah Palin:

We have weak, demoralizing leadership who cave to the enemy at every turn, and with the withdrawal of Palin, the energy of the Presidential race has been sucked down a sinkhole. From my perspective, things appear hopeless for America.

The media is the key. But we have lost them. They have been almost completely infested by leftists and are obviously in the tank for Zero. After all, it is one of the reasons he was selected — I mean, elected. I work at a government building that is currently heavily populated by reporters. I told a co-worker that the building will have to be fumigated when they leave.

All I can tell you is pray. Pray like you have never prayed before for our republic. Because once liberty is lost - as a wise man once wrote - it is lost forever.

And then there will be nowhere else to go. The light from the shining city on the hill will be extinguished.

blueunicorn6 wants to fight tough now, whatever that means.

The first thing conservatives have to do is to quit trying to fight by the Marquis of Queensbury Rules in these political streetfights. My Dad told me, “When I was young, I used to fight like a Boy Scout. I’d help the kid back up after I knocked him down. I lost every fight. I got tired of getting beat up. I started fighting to win. I never lost anymore fights.”

Quit getting wrapped around the ideological arguments of the Democrats. They don’t believe in socialism, either. They just use it to get votes from the young and stupid. They use politics to get money for themselves.

When we knock them down, quit giving them a hand up so they can hit us again. Knock them down, and then kick their teeth in if they don’t give up. We can be Boy Scouts when they start getting 3% of the vote.

The best thing about fighting metaphors is you can sound tough without actually specifying tactics.

Logical me hates Kentucky now:

Looks like they enjoy being ruled by the Communists Democratic Party. Kentucky is lost and the fools don’t even know it.
