There are a few who Confederates who have taken refuge in Free Republic because their crazy views are tolerated, if not condoned.

I know they are basically traitors for a dead and evil empire build on slavery, but their impotent bitterness makes them kinda adorable. Like a kitten trying to kill your ankle:

I went up to CT two years ago and it was like a different country.
I had the flag on the front and back of my van and some of them looked to be nearly having an heart attack.

One woman hit her husbands car and my wife heard her say “ O my look at that flag how dare they come up here”

Funny how they want open primaries but now Romney and nutty Paul have said they are concentrating on absentee ballots in FL, might have something to do with FL being a closed primary and have to show photo ID. They can use absentee to use dead people like in NH.

Sort of reminds me right after the war where southerners in some states were not allowed to vote, and they brought their teachers down to teach kids in the south their revised history.

Lincoln was a racist, no question. He wanted to keep the western territories free for the white expansion. That is why he was against slavery in the territories.
