First we must make a stand ar the covention. We must let the e-GOP know how angry we are.

Secondly we focus on down ticket races to elect as many conservatives to local, state and especially congressional office.

Third no matter who wins we get more active than ever before. When the going gets tough the tough get going.

Our Enemies on the Right, the GOP-E think they will be rid of us with Romney, they are mistaken, they will pine for these days once we send them into a pitiful minority like the Whigs before them in the 1860's.

Jim, thank you for your statement. This whole mess has shaken me to the core. And I’m not the only one. The Romney nomination will not only divide the Republican party, it has already divided this friendly group of conservatives. It’s sad to watch us accuse each other of being unpatriotic (and that’s the milder of the accusations hurled against me).

This division is manna from heaven for Obama. He probably won’t have to resort to voter fraud or intimidation to be reelected.

It’s too bad we didn’t realize the party hierarchy would screw us over like this. Had we known earlier, we could have mounted a third party candidacy. We were blindsided. So now we will have to endure four more years of Obama, maybe more if he succeeds in making himself dictator.

Romney is a draft dodger. Cowardly rich boy with connections refused to serve his country. None of his sons ever served either. It’s a family tradition. Romney loathed Reagan-Bush and conservatism. Ran and governed to the left of Ted Kennedy on gay rights, abortion, gun control, socialist healthcare, appoint liberal judges, etc. He’s nothing but a lying two-bit leftist political whore who will screw you in the end. No way in hell will I support him.

This was a JimRob thread, so the fear of the zot kept most of the Romney voters away. I;ll be interested to see how many there are.

Already I can see Free Republic balkanizing between "The GOP-E cannot control us!" and "Obama will kill us all, we gotta vote Romney!" camps.

We'll see how long Free Republic tolerates such fundamental dissent. I suspect not long.
