Football is conservative now

Recent science seems to indicate that the constant minor concussions Pro Football players suffer add up to some serious consequences down the road. Freepers line up to defend Football from the liberal science hordes as though it were Sarah Palin. Though they have something of a problem staying on topic...
Red6 thinks Football is doomed because America is becoming universally gay, and fat:

As America becomes queer the youth will be less interested, and helicopter mothers concerned about if their kids took all their allergy medicine that morning would prevent them from playing anyhow. Fat kids, medicated, eating fast food because both parents work, growing up watching TV and playing a gaming machine shouldn't be exposed to the vast risks associated with American football. There is a reason why soccer is rapidly growing in suburban America. It's much less violent and the way it is played also allows everyone to be a winner on many of these youth teams!

Black_Shark, on the other hand, is pretty sure anyone who plays Football deserves what they get:

I attended a Football Camp at USC while I was in school and was quite a good WR but I also was highly ranked in the State in Tennis. I quit Football as soon as we discovered A) It’s populated by brain-dead idiots who want to destroy your knees and B) Tennis was a much more satisfying sport that I can play throughout my life. The best and brightest athletes aren’t going into Football anymore for those reasons listed above

I grew up with a lot of guys who quit playing during high school because they were simply tired of getting beat up. Then you attended a wuss high school. My swim coach was a Guadalcanal Marine veteran and my algebra teacher landed in France on D-Day. A good number of us signed up in the army and Marine Corps. Semper Fi, FRiend.

EVERYTHING liberals and leftists do or advocate violates the law of human nature. That’s why they always fail. We are programmed as humans by evolution to like violence as a sport. People love college football. I’ve never seen anyone turn away from a hockey fight and leave the building. Everyone stands and cheers.
