Obama mentioned that Jesus never explicitly condemned homosexuality. In their zeal to keep Obama's filthy hands off their Bible, Freepers cite the trinity to allow them to put the Old Testament on Jesus. This not only makes them all Catholic, it also means they'd better start keeping kosher!

Jesus didn’t mention child molestation either. What a weak argument. Besides .... Jesus being God in the flesh (Emmanuel - God with us), if it’s in the bible (God’s word) it’s Jesus’ words too.

Actually, Jesus DID condemn homosexuality. In both Matthew and Mark he condemns “pornea”. Pornea is the Greek word usually translated as “fornication” but it means any kind of unnatural or wrongful sexual behavior. In first century Jewish culture this would have certainly included homosexual behavior.

It's futile to debate with ANYONE who would make this arguement to you. Why? Because it is OBVIOUS they do not believe in the authority of the Word of God. If they did, they would understand that the "black" words have the same weight as the "red" words. There are three kinds of people. 1) Those who believe the bible to be God's word (and they either follow it or not...) 2) Those who think it is a fairy tale...and 3) Those who think some of it is truth and some of it outdated since God has "grown up" in 2000 years...and they are the deciders of that truth.
