If I ever doubted that fear often turns to loathing, my years reading Free Republic would convince me.

The constant fearmongering about Ebola has lead the right to a crazy path - attacking the people who went to Africa to help out. While it follows from their apocalyptic Ebola speculation, that is not going to play well with any but their own paranoid brethren.

So when the nurse tested negative for the disease, and has no symptoms, so she isn't contagious even if she had it, broke the voluntary quarantine to take a bike ride, Freepers got really angry. And quite liberal with the sexist slurs, as is there wont when they're hating on women.

And no, a judge saying the quarantine was silly did not dissuade them, or even make them switch targets to the judge.

My wife is a professor of nursing and teaches community health. She said the Board of Nursing should immediately pull Hickox license regardless whether or not she is infected. Her boyfriend is a dolt as Ebola can also be sexually transferred.

It would serve them right if they both contred Ebola, but the number of people they could have infected would make Typhoid Mary look like an amateur.
