The Supreme Court to hear Obamacare again

The Supreme Court does not usually take up cases it plans to uphold. So the fact that it took up the latest Obamacare case is not a great sign. Freepers, however, have so ingrained losing in Court that they daren't get their hopes up. The threads on this are real small. Maybe once Mark Levine explains this to them.

Rome2000 is having a real hard time living in a free Republic:
The next GOP POTUS needs to add 6 more RABID RIGHT WINGERS to this motley collection of fools for a total of 15 “Justices”

FDR had the right idea,it’s the only way to ensure an agenda is forced through.

With the court and a compliant Congress in hand, a DC outsider as POTUS could PERMANENTLY ensure the marxists never control any branch of government again, and decimate the Federal apparatchiks.
InterceptPoint has all sorts of reasons not to trust the SCOTUS:
We are allowed hope if you assume that:

1. Supreme Court Justices can read plain English.
2. They care about the Rule of Law.
3. They are not subject to blackmail by Obama.

Given what we know about the current batch of Supremes, I give us about a 50/50 shot at success. At least 4 don't give a hoot about the Rule of Law and there is a high likelihood that at least one can be blackmailed.
xzins thinks this is all some sorta political chess game:
So, you want to rewrite the law and fix it, and you don’t have any leverage over a veto-prone president. What do you do? You bring the other arm of your coalition, the Scotus, with you to the bargaining table. “Listen Barack, we’ll let you keep your legacy if you let us rewrite it. It’s killing the economy and we want to fix it. If not, we’ll just strike it down. Will you negotiate it or will you allow the only piece of legislation with your name on it to be...poof...gone?”

So, I see a rewrite in the works.
buckalfa makes a prediction that shows he's not too clear on modern jurisprudence:
I can see where the SC would twist that pesky equal protection clause in the 14th amendment into meaning the subsidies are legal even in the non exchange states. Their logic might be you cannot give subsidies to one class of people in certain states and not to an equal class of people in other states. Instead of deep sixing the law, the court expands it by judicial fiat.

  1. Freepers really do live in a different world, one of their own design. It's just so odd.

Whether it's flying around in an invisible plane rescuing soldiers or saying that Obamabola is going to steal your retirement money or that RimJob has a super secret spy program of his own, the list goes on and on. And that is just the BFF's that post here, Butthurt Former Freepers.

In todays' thread Freepers are way confused about net neutrality. I suppose they think they have to be against anything the Kenyan Usurper proposes, after all he is the Anti-Christ.

    1. FWIW: I'm not sure but I think I remember Rush speaking out against Net Neutrality back around 2008-2009ish. At the time Clear Channel was pushing against NN. Now, with Clear Channel moving towards iHeartRadio, they've been quieter

    2. Some Freeper, Secret Agent Man made a vanity thread complaining about freepers Gulty/NotGuilty post..440+ replies.

      This one is a classic:

I say let them have their fun. Have you seen pictures of some of these guys who inject “Guilty” “Not Guilty” into the conversation? Woof. I have no doubt their computer monitors are the closest thing they get to an attractive woman. It explains why Helen Thomas is so repulsive to them. They see her in their wives and girlfriends.

    3. I saw that thread today. The sheer amount of deflection ended up making it pretty boring.

      I was disappointed.
