But Freepers' simplistic good guy/bad guy worldview, their consistent selection of conspiracies that confirm their narrative over reality, their confusion between fiction and real life, and their general skepticism of women, all combine to put many of them on Cosby's side.

The second is his wealth.
Millions,and millions,and millions,and millions of dollars in net worth.
Motive for a group of individuals,even a large group,to concoct false accusations? You betcha!

Why not pick on a nice juicy dangerous target of the far left, such as Ted Cruz?

Because too many blacks were starting to listen to Cosby.

Doubt if many blacks pay much attention to Cruz but if Cosby tells them to pull up their pants and get a job that is an entirely different situation.
