This was not the sincere act of someone who thought the comments made Trump a deplorable person unacceptable for the office of the presidency. Anyone who genuinely believed that would have released the tape a year ago. The was the political act of someone gleefully watching Trump do well in the primaries in the hope that Trump would be the nominee and this tape would then give a corrupt, power-hungry tyrant an edge in the general election. Anyone who thinks like that is shockingly evil, even compared with other democrats who seek power.
This was a sleazy betrayal both of Trump and of America. The person who did it deserves whatever happens to him. In Trump’s place, I would delegate the job of finding that traitor to a senior member of Trump’s private security team and then forget about it until after the election. After the voting (and the leftist fraud) are done, win or lose, I hope Trump will look at his fortune (about $3.7B) and dedicate as much of that money as necessary (without violating the law) to ruining the life of the traitor who released that tape.
Even if it costs $100M, it’s well worth it to find and destroy that person. Trump can’t do anything with $3.7B that he couldn’t do just as well with $3.6B, and his five kids would not have a better life with $740M each than they would with $720M each."
