Troops taken literally

Seems "troops" means only Army, and maybe Marines. At least, that's what Spouting Horn (Terrorism is a tactic. Our battle should be waged against the Shariah and Jihad.) says:

Not to rag on the Air Force...but I know a young kid in the Air Force, and I saw him one morning with several of his Air Force buddies...not one of them could have been over 120 lbs soaking wet.

Now, on the other hand, the Marines I come across...any one of them could snap in half a handful of the Air Force guys with one hand.

Now, it's just a feeling but I think most Air Force people could kick Spouting Horn's spouting ass. I am also amused by the idea that someone who flies a plane for a living must also be all buff.

Feel the Hillary Love!

One thing I've heard from a number of quarters is the idea that Obama is above the partisan fray. That, unlike many Democrats who personally dislike Republicans, Obama respects them.

But Freepers must insist all their opponents are extremists, even as they embrace the label themselves. Thus, we have floriduh voter (FL Gov. Crist "This is America. I can wear whatever I want. I believe in freedom." You go, girl.) who takes the opposite view.

Obama's a stalinist. Change must be a code word for overthrowing the government. There are still Clinton holdovers in the Bush administration. I get the feeling that Obama hates me. I've never felt any candidate hated me per se until now.

Niice. Somehow, I think you'd say the same things about Hillary if she were the frontrunner. Or Edwards. Or Dean.

The difference between McCain & the leftist Democrats is this. McCain thinks America was an evil, diabolical place until the 1960s. But thanks to all those liberal movements during that decade, America became a tolerable place to live. We still have to do more (amnesty, for example), but we're on the path to multicultural utopia. We should continue down that path, and also invade some other countries if that's what's necessary to make them into “multicultural democracies” just like us.

The Democrats think America is still an evil, pathetic place. Yes, the sixties radicals helped correct some of the Founding Fathers’ wickedness, but really, America is just too depraved to ever be an example for anyone. We therefore should just wreck the entirety of Western Civilization as fast as possible and be done with it. We shouldn't invade other countries, or even defend ourselves.

That is seriously the battle freepers see themselves in. The only way they can feel sane is to invent an enemy crazier than they are.

Culture Warriors

There's a lot of things freepers don't like. And they often like to lump all the things they like into one camp. But Itzlzha (The avalanche has already started...it is too late for the pebbles to vote!) raises this to a fine art, as seen here in this post about Argentina's dictatorship.

But the vast majority of the 30,000 people who were "disappeared" weren't terrorists; they were union leaders, artists, teachers, psychiatrists.

Have you seen what these types are doing to our society?

Union thugs regularly beat pro-recall supporters in MexiCali...and run roughshod over anyone who opposes their agendas (Don and Terri Adams ring a bell?)...

Teachers cram socialism, eco-terrorism, and pro-homosexuality down students throats at the beck and call of their NEA Masters (more unionism, btw)...

Psychiatrists trying to legitimize pedophilia, sodomy, and child-rape....proponents of releasing John Hinckley as being "no danger", after he continued to STALK WOMEN while in psychiatric care...recently they determined Conservatism was a mental disease...

I'd say they should DEFINITELY be classified correctly as "terrorists!

Assuming that you are able to raise your kids with conservative principles, then the more kids conservatives crank out, the better. You are probably doing more to win the culture war than all the Freeps put together.

And damn those public schools for lteaching kids critical thinking too! I think that's part of the gay agenda or something.
