Hypothetical double standard

There was a shooter at UC Berkley last night. Freepers make it all about them, though.
They note that the shooter was reported as white, then pretend the shooter was Muslim and his race wasn't covered, and rail at the double standard.

Tzimisce knows no one reports on Muslim shooters:

There are unconfirmed reports that the suspect was a white male in his 30s.

Racist. If this guy was Islamic, they wouldn't have identified his race/ethnicity.

Just another day in Obamaland. :(

dragnet2 thinks the media jumps at the chance to target white shooters:

And it's unconfirmed...Print it anyway!!!

If this guy was Islamic, they wouldn't have identified his race/ethnicity.

Look, this guy could have been riding a camel, wearing an Al-Qaeda T-shirt and shouting, "Death to Yankee infidel dogs", and the news media wouldn't even give a description.

They'd say an, "Unknown" male.

72 hours later, his description would be revealed on the 164th page of the NY Times.

dragnet2 noticed that the story got retracted. Clearly it musta been scrubbed for insufficient evil.

My first reaction was to hit screen shot. Within 2 minutes after commenting, I went back to the link, and it was gone...

The Berkeley crowd and media in that part of the country could not get that out fast enough. What made this even more disturbing, is they admitted it wasn't even confirmed.

This story has to be a total fabrication. We are talking about Berkley her folks where everyone has a picture of John Lennon in his/her wallet or purse.
