ACORN - Never forget! |
Guess they couldn't find an unhappy looking Chris Hayes. |
A parade of strawmen! |
Gotta hate all dusky-looking pregnant women. |
So Net Neutrality is Liberal now. Well played, corporate tools! |
"Words had to change their ordinary meaning and to take that which was now given them. Reckless audacity came to be considered the courage of a loyal ally; prudent hesitation, specious cowardice; moderation was held to be a cloak for unmanliness; ability to see all sides of a question, inaptness to act on any. Frantic violence became the attribute of manliness" -Thucydides
Re: National Socialism, the funny thing is that America has lots and lots of neo-Nazis. A number of them hang out on FR, in fact. Any FReeper who's curious could ask these folks how they feel about socialism, or about any position that FR considers "socialist." Nine times out of 10, they'll find their positions to be virtually identical. Their only big disagreement is about Israel, as far as I can tell. On blacks, immigration, the status of women and gays, the importance of "Western civilization," Obamacare, the environment, guns, the media, voting restrictions, and virtually every other big right-wing issue, there's little or no daylight between them. But NS is a left-wing ideology, yeah, right.
ReplyDeleteAs for the net neutrality cartoon, it's just sad. It's obvious that they simply don't understand any part of the issue, so their corporate overlords will have no problem convincing 'em that "neutrality" -- like "fairness" and "equality" -- is inherently doubleplusungood. If they're unhappy about the clout of FR relative to the MSM now, wait until they see how things stand after net neutrality falls!
It's like calling North Korea a democracy simply because The Democratic People's Republic of Korea has the word "democratic" in the name.
DeleteOnce their internet gets even slow than it is now wait for them to blame 0BUMMER
DeleteIs this a common thing on Freep? I haven't been following the in's and out's of the Freeposphere but it makes perfect sense!
ReplyDeleteI don't know, I wouldn't say that it is the predominant attitude, but there are more than a few with foreign-born wives who are proud to say they'd never marry an American woman because they're not "grateful" enough, or something like that. And not a few Freeper women have chimed in to agree. They're such doormats sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI got completely bored by the fifth paragraph.

The House could have done something to find another way at any point over the past six years. They decided not to.
Ronald Reagan gave actual amnesty, not a qualified path to citizenship, back in the 1980s. But he's still their patron saint and fetish doll. And they didn't then and don't now call it "treason."
Executive orders, no matter how much Freepers don't like them, aren't unusual, and they aren't treason.
