So, without further ado, Freepers triumphant that their candidate got beaten:
April Lexington looks at the practical effects:
Governors are a huge advantage in a presidential race. Obama’s administration is a joke and this electin demonstrates (a) RINOs will lose because WE say they will lose, and (b) The tide has turned on Communism in the USA. Obama is a one term president and Obama Care is toast...All because of two governor's races!
ohioWfan is like Henry V:
You fought a noble battle and came very close in a very short period of time, Mr. Hoffman.Obama totally lost when the guy fro his party won!You proved that you COULD HAVE WON, and that the big gun leftists are AFRAID of the Tea Parties, and the American people, as well they should be.
Obama lost BIG time last night, and you Mr Hoffman were part of the VICTORY of the people over the overreaching corruption of the Obama government.
Republican "leadership".....take note. It is YOU who lost in NY23 last night, not Doug Hoffman. NO MORE DEMOCRATS posing as Republicans, anywhere, any time. NO MORE.
Interestingly, what ire there was Freepers directed not at the erstwhile GOP Candidate, but at Newt Gingritch. Either they focused on what mattered, or they were all hated out. Heh.
guitarplayer1953 doesn't sound gay at all:
Damn you Gingrich IS THE NEW BITCH.Frantzie is gonna take action:
If Hannity or anyone has Newt on - call and tell them we do not want to hear from that DIABLO. Serial divorcee and adulterer - Newt.So suddenly adultery matters?
nutmeg is one of the elite few bringing fraud allegations:
Ed Rendell (D-PA) and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL) were crowing all over Fox News earlier tonight that Owens was going to win. This was much earlier tonight when no one had a clue as to how NY-23 would shake out. Makes me wonder what really went on behind the scenes in this race...myself6 sums it all up with poetry, of a sort:
A house built on a bad foundation will not stand.
A house built out of crappy materials will not stand.
A house built out of bull—— will not stand.
A house built on an active volcano will not stand.
blah blah blah....
This “house” IS divided and one side MUST become extinct. Im sorry to inform the socialists in the GOP and elsewhere that they can expect to see the fight against them intensified. The mask was removed when scuzzy supported the democrat, and that alone made NY23 worth it!
;^)
The GOP WILL be purged of socialists.
Ozzy,
ReplyDeleteJokes and FReeper's BS aside, voters especially the Indys are souring big time on Pelosi and Obama's nonsense. Democrats would be wise to own up to their mistakes and finally live up the bipartisanship that Obama promised. How about reading the GOP health bill, and co-opting some of the GOP platform to their own health initiative? For example, the CBO admits that the GOP health bill would not add a trillion dollar to the deficit.
I'm a pretty moderate Dem, and I approve of what Obama's doing.
ReplyDeleteSo far as I know, polls still show majority support for the public option. Though I'm not sure which way momentum is going.
Obama worked with the Republicans for months, and all they did was jerk him around in bad faith. They have as much as admitted that complete obstruction is their strategy against Obama.
The GOP bills all save a lot of money by not doing anything. It's like watering down your beer so it has fewer calories.
Ozzy,
ReplyDeleteSome good points from the GOP health bill
1) Letting insurers compete across state lines
2) Capping malpractice insurance
If insurance costs are cut drastically, would not that solve a major portion of the health care headache? Have an open mind and read the bill on Boehner's website. You might even agree with him.
Letting insurers compete across state lines may not necessarily fix the problem. After all, credit card companies are allowed to compete across state lines and all they did was just move to North Dakota where the restrictions are the most lenient and continue to screw us anyway. You don't think that that will happen with the insurance companies?
