In response to an article relating a discussion about Asian women between the author and his suspiciously one-dimensional "feminist American girlfriend" Freeper men crawl all over themselves to show off their oriental trophy wives, and decry American women as being too feminist:

My Singapore Chinese wife has a hard time understanding why white American men date white American women at all - in her opinion, TV and pop culture role models have "made them all psycho" and she is always encouraging our single, white male friends to travel to Asia if they are serious about finding a woman to marry.

There are, of course, significant racial and national specifications within her advice about which Asian women are actually qualified (hint: avoid Vietnam...) :)

A lot of the appeal is physical. Men are innately programmed to seek youth and fertility in women, and the Asian woman, with large eyes, round face, and tiny nose, looks like the face of a teenage Caucasian female. That is the Asian bone structure so she will look like a teenager long after the Caucasian ages. A Caucasian woman can be just as sweet, supportive, adoring, wise, kind, sexually giving, and fit, and perhaps even more curvaceous, but the Asian woman will win every time.

Note the glints of steel in the Asian woman’s eye, though. They can be very damn tough, and in the right situation they can be as hard and vicious as any white trailer-trash.

I’ve told my boys not to even think of marrying a girl born or educated in this country (and most of the West). Many, maybe most, are brainwashed to make life miserable for you - and you only find out after you’re married, as they’re as sweet as can be, until that day. Sure, there are plenty of really good American women, but it’s a crapshoot now. You have a 50/50 chance of finding one that knows how to be a wife if you go American, whereas it’s closer to 90/10 if you go Asian. Marriage, having 2 parents to raise kids, not going broke, not having to hire lawyers, having someone still around when you get old - that’s something where it’s REALLY SMART to play the odds.

So much for raising a good judge of character!

Having married an Indian woman I can agree. they treat you with much better respect and actually take wedding vows seriously... and very hard for them them to not stay married. And they take raising kids and education VERY seriously.

I just got back from India and my wifes Nieces and Nephews are allin the 10-12 grade range. All want to be Physists/Docs etc... and have scary good grades. And I mean good grades in REAL subject Math/Sci/Eng etc...

Don’t even start me on Indians, but probably no different than even Nigerians in this country. Where I work there’s a Nigerian who sometimes tells me about people at his church - so for fun, I ask him what that person does. He’s either an executive, brain surgeon, or something similar. Needless to say one of his daughters will be a doctor, the other a nurse practitioner. Then I walk by the desk of an American, who proudly displays a picture of her son decked out in a football uniform and not even knowing how to smile. The kid will likely go nowhere, either in football, or in academics, but will need new knees by age 50, but won’t be able to afford the flight to Costa Rica to get the surgery (obviously, the days of insurance-paid knee replacements are numbered in the states).

Mr. K seems a bit bitter, and more than a bit entitled. The two may be related...

I had to do it when my Thai girlfriend (soon to be wife) asked me what was wrong with American women... Ready? here it is..

A guy marries a beautiful little petite long-haired beauty, who proceeds to pack on 50 pounds and get her hair cut short (and all her dumpy girlfriends tell her “oh it’s so cute!!!)

So the guy wakes up one day and wonders when he married a short fat guy.

Guys are not innocent- look at the beer belly and soggy sweaty t-shirts and jeans many a gomer adopts after a few years.

I appreciate every moment my girl spends cooking and cleaning and ironing (I make good money so she can be a stay at home mom) and I do my best to make her happy in return, because I THANK GOD every day that someone as sweet and beautiful as her decided to spend her life taking care of me.

Great job on the wife. In her culture, she would be considered a complete failure if she leaves you without a really good cause (as in being beaten or equivalent). You not doing the dishes or picking up your socks doesn’t cut it. And should you wonder off with another woman, they will look at her to try figure out what she did wrong to lose you - but then that doesn’t happen, because she knows what it takes to keep her guy happy.
