Abortion threads on Free Republic are pretty short these days. I think it's a combination of Freepers turning away from causes and towards hating Democrats full time. and how itchy the zot-finger is on the topics.

So what little comments you get tend to be people who are crazy enough to brave a minefield to preach to the choir.

Here, the Virginia AG says that abortion clinics will not be prosecuted if they don't report suspected rape.

A difficult line to draw, I'm not sure where I come down there. But I understand the rationale - to keep young girls from having their rapists babies out of fear. Naturally, Freepers never consider this concept, but wildly speculate about other, more sinister possibilities.

In the new Virginia (perhaps it should be renamed "Slutia", since virginity will be verboten), failure to provide condoms to teenagers will be considered child abuse, but rape will not. Talk about promoting a "rape culture".
