Portraying the opposition as Hitler is a common thing among common people. But when the leaders, those who are running for office and others who have a public voice start doing it, it needs to be seen as a real threat. Especially when the people they're talking to make a point of carrying firearms around. I think Dan Savage had it right the other night on Countdown with Keith Olbermann when he said:
