This is rapidly becoming a genre in itself - blog posts about how Obama spends lots and lots of money. It hits a lot of Freeper hot-buttons. It makes the Obamas tasteless, out of touch with the common man, and of course wasteful. Also likely embezzling.

The Obama's are not suffering from sequester, either---golfing, vacaying, w/ Secret Service guards always nearby.

In a telling irony---he sent five Secret Service agents to guard his daughter at a pricey NYC restaurant---while he closed down WH tours b/c of sequester---tours which are monitored by SS agents.

Course, Ohaha thinks Americans will blame Repubs for the closed tours.

The tone-deaf First Lady, Michelle Obama, is preparing for a celebrity-studded 50th birthday party with performances by Adele and Beyonce as thousands of school children planning spring trips to Washington find their White House tours cancelled. Although the party is private and said to be paid for by the Obamas, taxpayers will foot the bill for secret service and plenty of other accommodations at the White House. It is likely that “donations” will be solicited for the champagne, caviar, and cake with reimbursement from the government coffers coming at another time and place.

Wouldn’t it be delicious if thousands of unemployed and other hardworking Americans living in reduced circumstances surrounded the White House on the night of the gala and flung birthday cake over the fence as a historical reminder of Marie Antoinette’s excesses? Would it matter anymore?

We are always hearing about the parties at the White House. Also the million dollar pricetag for Chelsea Clinton's wedding.

Funny how we didn't hear about glitzy birthday parties during the Bush tenure. And Jenna Bush's marriage was a classy low key affair in Waco.

IIRC Beezle was worth about $3mil when he took office.
A lot of money but not enough to spend frivolously.

I contend there is no way he could afford to live as large as he an Mooch do and claim to be paying for all the ‘private’ expenses as he’s supposed to do.
