Why not investigate Barney Frank at the same time?Or Ted Kennedy while we're beating dead horses!
fwdude just straight writes off anything the Dems do, because they don't really mean it:
Even though Dems have no ethics, they know most people do and so have to give lip service to it.Political Junkie Too draws an odd comparison:
so_real thinks calling for an investigation is actually the cover up:
Pelosi drove Mark Foley out of office, not because he sent sexually suggestive texts to House pages, but because he was a closet gay, and Pelosi wanted to fill the Republicans with disgust in order to keep them home during the 2006 elections.
What Weiner did is way worse than what Mark Foley did, but Weiner is refusing to resign because that's what Democrats do.
Pelosi is positioning to cover for him, and spinning it like she has the high moral ground. Wiener's personality profile pretty much dictates that if he is thrown under the bus, he is going to take those who threw him under as well. Pelosi (et al.) can't have that.OpusatFR blames Obama, somehow:
GRRRRR thinks lying in a press conference is illegal.
Nancy must have conferred with The Boy-Queen.
Weiner is being thrown under the bus.
He told lies in those interviews while sitting in his tax payer supported office. That is illegal use of his position and federal stuff...
Bailiff, whack his pee-pee!
Weiner MUST BE FORCED TO RESIGN.
The DemonRats can’t withstand such blatent filth and hypocrisy...can they?
