DeleteMy wife is Catholic and so are my kids. I will say (at least at the 2 parishes we have been members of) that the "flock" isn't super conservative. Oh, they lean conservative of course, but that goes with the territory.
ReplyDeleteBut they aren't Jesus freaky like fundamentalists. My wife's confirmation sponsor came out a few years back and he also has a couple of gay brothers. Everyone knows they are gay, but they are still members of the parish and no one really seems to care.
For the most part, most of the "flock" doesn't seem to care about that kind of stuff.
