I'm in DC, and the storm didn't do much here, except for screw up my school schedule by reintroducing me to Diablo III while I was sequestered earlier this week. Consequently, I have a big paper I have neglected for the past 2 days due this evening.

It's weird how meta politics get in the week before an election - I remember from 2004 and 2008, that at this point it's all about the polls, and the issues are basically done.

If Obama wanted it and thought it was close, he wouldn’t let the hurricane stop him. Remember in 2008, he said he could run his campaign and manage the financial crisis. So I think he knows they are losing, so why spend a week out wasting your time with the little people. The hurricane gives him an excuse to “pull out” of the states without looking like it.

I seriously look for him to pardon himself. He’s set so many records and firsts, why not one more. Besides, no other occupier of the Oval Office has done that. His overall pardons list will be an interesting read. Look for Holder’s name to be there front and center.
