Are you implying that there's no such thing as a "typical white person", and that furthermore calling someone as such is somehow unduly offensive? Statistically speaking, there is such always a "typical" archetype that the majority of any population can be categorized under. As for characterization as "typical" being offensive, well it really explains why you guys are mad all the time considering constant praise is hard to come by.

ReplyDeleteCould you elaborate? I'm not American. In our variant of English "Spook" is generally slang for someone like a CIA or MI6 operative. James Bond is a "Spook", for example. Alternatively (and a little more archaically) it can also mean "Ghost" - kids dress up as "Spooks" on Halloween. Clearly your interpretation is different?

DeleteThat's just nuts. No matter who wins on Tuesday, it's going to be extremely close on an Electoral Vote level. Objectively speaking, I would say that Obama is the slight favorite because most of these toss-up states see Obama up +1 to +5 in the latest polls. I can see Romney taking Florida and North Carolina, and possibly Virginia and one or two others.
