Suck it Haiti

Freepers, man. They are all oppressed, but those Haitians brought all their starvation on themselves, and should die already:

Boogieman's extensive knowledge of the situation reveals the Haitians to be lazy:
How do you have a food shortage on a tropical island? It’s unnatural. Hungry? Go catch a fish, or trap a lobster, or shimmy up a tree and get some fruit. Problem solved, next order of business.
dfwgator explains how charity kills capitalism:
The UN and various humanitarian agencies keep sending food there, and what does it do?

It puts Haitian farmers out of business, who can compete with free food?

Send doctors there, and what does it do? It puts Haitian doctors out of business, who can compete with free doctors?
Caipirabob hates how poor Haitians keep trying to sell things in the Dominican Republic:
The Haitians are crossing over into the DR enough to noticeably soil paradise. They set up road side stands to sell fruit or wares and dumps their trash right there in the street. The government won’t stop them and the trash is building up in Santo Domingo and other areas.

The DR has had their socialist experiments from time to time. They are never completely free of the socialist infection. These elements in the government wont take the proper action to beat back the invasion and discourage border crossings. Sound familiar?
Longbow1969 blames poor people for having babies:
Haiti is a crap hole. If I lived there, I wouldn't want to bring children in to the world. Unfortunately, poor people tend to crank out the most kids - so they will continue to produce more babies to go hungry. I guess the UN can feed them (with our tax money) just enough for them to get older and reproduce some more.
RetiredTexasVet can't do charity while liberals exist:
When I receive the post-paid envelopes with their requests for $25, $100, or whatever I can give, I give them a list of people like Bloomberg, Clinton, Bush, Gates, Buffett, Soros, Gore, Obama, etc. that would be pleased and excited to give millions to their cause to ease their conciouses and guilt.
Chad N. Freud is sure Haiti is one big money laundering scheme:
If there are more than a hundred countries around the world with serious endemic poverty and hunger, why single out Haiti for such a report, and such a scare-headline??

Who benefits from Haiti being seen as an emergency case?

. . . The Clintons and all the other aid foundations that rushed to use the Haiti earthquake to amass fortunes and accomplish exactly nothing meaningful?
American in Israel knows God causes famines:
Haiti is always starving. Has been as long as I can remember. But Haiti is a good place to learn a lesson, it is a Nation that turned its back on God and sold its soul.

Famine... happens.
certrtwngnut is sure lots of guns is the key to prosperity!
I don’t know squat about Haiti but I would guess that the citizenry is unarmed allowing the bad guys free reign.
Ask your Haitian friends if having gun rights would help to keep the bad guys away.

  1. Yes! Haitians have no food, so surely the money they're saving on food can be used for guns! Brilliant!

  2. Large amounts of firearms and a lack of food, what could possibly go wrong?

  3. Where to start ? Where to start ?

"Boogieman" ... last time he shimmied up a tree for some fruit was at least 60 years and 300 lbs ago.

"Caipirabob" ... hates having to see Haitians in roadside stands on his way to the underage Dominican Republic brothels out in the countryside.

"Longbow1969" ... hates that poor people (read: black people) have too many babies, but will be the first to scream about any sort of government supplied contraception or sex education in schools.

"American in Israel" ... believes that Haiti turned its back on God, huh ? Meaning, of course, that the Haitian slaves had the audacity to revolt against their God-appointed white masters and form their own government, I guess.

    1. Supposedly the Haitian founders made a deal with the devil to overcome French colonization.

  4. I wouldn't go to bat for the rest of these racist monsters, but dfwgator accidentally has a point: Often international aid ends up competing with the local economy and overpowering it. These agencies also send tons of supplies without any notion of what the people actually need:

    1. Yeah, I could see this as an issue in implementation, but not in whether aid in general is good.

  5. As a long time reader of Free Republic, it has often occurred to me that they have the ability to raise money for charitable causes and yet they do not do so.

I have been reading FR for years.

    They don't care about anybody.

    Talk is cheap.

    2. JimRob doesn't want any competition for his failing freepathons.
The recent call to help out MestaMachine with medical expenses raised a whopping $180.00
