But as the election approaches, and Freepers ramp up to unheard of heights of crazy, can even his ranting charms be enough to calm their apocalyptic paranoia?

He is right. Obama is only a symptom. The problem is that America has become like an old Oak that is rotten in the center. The thin outside of living tissue is working harder and harder to hold up the tree but eventually it will give out and the whole tree will come crashing down. I feel terrible saying that about this country but I think it is true.
