George Zimmerman's Domestic Violence

Freepers get pretty into people sometimes. Often it's hatred (Obama, McCain, the Clintons, etc.), but sometimes it's basically worship. Once they've attached, some find it really hard to reverse themselves.

The high emotions of the George Zimmerman trial made many Freepers turn from mere defenders into hero worshipers of Zimmerman - he wasn't just an ordinary innocent guy, he was basically a saint being martyred!
So when George Zimmerman seems involved in a situation that screws with this narrative by making him look like a violent guy, it kinda breaks the Freeper community between people who just assume move on for the sake of expedience and hero worshipers.

1010RD blames Obama:
They’ve done all they could to break this guy. He’s just an average Joe who got caught up in Obama’s and Axelrod’s reelection machinations.
VerySadAmerican's gut tells him the wife is making it all up. Despite the pictures.
We know his wife wants half of everything he’s got and everything he’s going to get. She doesn’t seem credible to me.
t1b8zs notes the wife seems fat to him:
If he skates on this one he needs to Fugetahbout the heifer spouse and GTF out of Fla before he is pushed into something he cant skate on.
Williams knows some guys, and women are super evil and lie all the time:
Ive known guys where the wife, pressured by her parents, gets restraining orders, gets the guy arrested etc. Then she is showing up everywhere to have sex with him, Thanksgiving at his parents’ house, and chiding him to move back in with her WITHOUT removing the restraining order!

This way she can have him locked up at any whim. This stuff happens a lot.

I’m not saying men don’t also throw fits, make threats etc. but these new laws are abused.

Ive seen women recant rape accusations, etc. Things can get ugly and the law no longer realizes people make stuff up. It’s presumed the man is evil and the judges treat him that way.
soycd has made up his mind:
What a drama queen she is. That sounded like it was 100% BS 911 call. Now she can parade it on the morning shows. Shellie should be arrested for making a false 911 call and George is an idiot for being at her house or anywhere near her.
Thane_Banquo seems also to be intimately aware of domestic violence law:
The law is intentionally discriminatory against men in favor of women. The name of the law--the Violence Against Women Act--says it all, even though statistically men are as likely to be victims of domestic violence as women.
Also his stat is wrong.

GOYAKLA wishes the media would concentrate on what's important!
It is truly fascinating to me that the “Media” gives us more info about GZ that BHO. The media has completely forgotten that we lost 4 good men at Benghazi yet burns-up the TV with aerial shots of GZ, on a “she says, he says”!.
dforest is pretty sure there's liberal bribery afoot:
IMHO, Shellie has been offered a big paycheck by the left if she can bait her soon to be ex into a confrontation that would put him behind bars.

Maybe Gloria Allred has been in touch.
I think cherry is talking about Oprah:
he absolutely is not guilty of murder of that Martin guy, but he sure is pretty creepy....

and his soon to be exwife is just out for her 15" with Ommpah....
a fool in paradise focuses on the good times, where the black kid got killed:
He should reform his ways. You don’t hear about Saint Skittlez getting in anyone’s grill anymore.
Pearls Before Swine gives excuses:
Maybe George has judicial PTSD. He’s been through the wringer.

Maybe the father-in-law is using George’s need to carry as an excuse to get leverage for Shelley in the divorce.

Who can tell?
freerepublicchat also excuses:
This is what living in constant fear for your life can do.
Uncle Chip is an Internet detective!
Shellie can be heard on the 911 call saying that George hit her father.

If GZ actually hit her father then he would be arrested but he is not being arrested.

It sounds to me like she made a false 911 report especially since she is refusing to give a statement.

This sounds like Shellie the drama queen.
CondorFlight blames Obama for his paranoid fantasies:
Either he’s not thinking clearly, and needs help;

or he’s being set up.

I have no idea which, but it says a lot that I
could believe either.
Uncle Chip will not have the non-Hero worship guys posting:
Well, we’ve endured weeks of Freepers that think he is one of the greatest people to walk the earth. They don’t think that way about other diehard Obama supporters.

nick, there are times when I think you are on the wrong forum — and this may be one of them.
Las Vegas Ron is like the Clint Eastwood of Free Republic:
I realize that doesn’t always square with neoRINOism, and I can live with that. Sorry.

**Cough, squint**...that's what you fall back on when you can't defend your position?

Barf, try again.
Las Vegas Ron doubles down on the hero bit:
But do you think he’s a hero of some sort?

If you consider a man who has exercised his right to self defense with the God given rights guaranteed by our Constitution, HELL YES!

He exercised bad judgment.

Yeah, citizens getting involved with other neighbors and protecting their neighborhood with said neighbors approval is such bad judgment, are you sure you're on the right forum? Is DU missing an idiot?

And he’s repeatedly proving that his judgment just isn’t that great.

Every move this guy make is under scrutiny, I wonder how you would fare. Was the last time you were stopped by a cop broadcast on national TV? Every time this guy farts, it gets reported, think there might be an agenda here....no you've got your own agenda.

I wouldn’t be surprised a bit if he’s in jail one year from now

I wouldn't be surprise to see a Zot in your immediate future.

Go back to DU.

    1. This comment sums up freepers to a T..about doctors asking questions during the medical exam..I bet many freepers are mentally unstable in real life..I bet grania is a loon and the doctor was not exaggerating..

      -----------------------------------------

Not only did it have all of that personal information mostly improperly interpreted, and exaggerated, the MD drew some conclusions about my mental health. Since then, I've refused to answer doctor's questions. After seeing that writeup, I have absolutely no doubt that the intention of managed care is to create an environment where decision-making is taken away from the patient.

I do think the best health plan in this environment is to not get sick.

    2. Did Grania mention if the Doctor was "an affirmative action" hire? Freepers love to pull that one out when they are not happy with services they think they believe.

Am I the only one amused by the threads about the Bikers. The fact that most Freepers are still home and not participating should be a wake up call to how much Activism they don't do. But by reading most of the threads you would think they had all packed up their scooters and were heading to DC. They love to use the excuse that they have to work but oddly enough they seem to always be posting on FR.

    3. I can just see grania at the doctor's now:

grania: I refuse to answer your questions on the grounds that they may incriminate me!

      Doctor (writing): Paranoid delusions.

    4. Grania: "Since then, I've refused to answer doctor's questions."

Dr: Tell me Grania, where does it hurt?

      Grania: (silence)

    7. You're so worried that you keep coming here every day to see what we're saying about you. It's a little obsessive. Your troll posts are pretty boring, and I usually scroll past them to get to the funny parts where we all laugh about how impossibly retrograde, stupid, hypocritical, and hopelessly useless freepers (average age 68, average BMI 39, average number of divorces 2.5, average cock length 4.6 inches)are.

    8. If you don't know what a "BMI" is, put down your gravy ladel for a few minutes, get on your Rascal, and ride to your municipal library to find your one and only copy of the town dictionary.

    9. @Comedian,
So in other words, you have no purpose for being here, because I find you goddamn hilarious. The only one whose blood pressure you're raising is your own.

I am ashamed of you - totally ashamed.

You are saying Comedian could stay gainfully employed? Go wash your mouth out with soap. He's got his medicare and his scooter - he doesn't need to work!

    12. On the internet, you can always be as young, handsome and successful as you can make others believe you are. After all, when you have nothing, you have to feel superior to others somehow.

    13. I don't feel sorry for you at all. If you were suffering, homeless, cold, and hungry, I'd buy a Big Mac and eat it front of you. After I was done, I'd throw the wrapper at you.

My hatred for you and the bullshit ideology you claim to believe in knows no bounds.

    14. I actually find your bullshit ideology hilarious. I especially love it when you show how truly ignorant you are of the facts. Your "insults" to us just make me laugh, because it's obvious you don't know liberals at all.

    15. "Conservatism is a rejection of ideology"? Now I've heard everything. Yeah, it's a rejection of ideology the way that catholicism is a rejection of dogma...

    16. Well, facts and reality do tend to have a liberal bias.
