I see a lot of reoccurring names on these lists. Do the freepers seriously have nothing better to do than rave in their little internet echo chamber? Do they ever discuss something OTHER than how Obama & liberals are evil?

1) They act as if Obama is the only President to pardon folks convicted of crimes. Here's the list of George W. Bush's pardons: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_people_pardoned_by_George_W._Bush
That's an even 200 pardons over 8 years. Of course, there are several pot, cocaine, and even methamphetamine convictions that were pardoned.Guess GW is promoting meth use!
Additionally, a whole bunch of other offenses including arson and mail fraud. Freepers should think before they post and maybe just drop the issue of pardons. It's a tradition, it's what the President does. And drug possession seems to be a favorite "offense" to pardon.
2) Freepers show their patented myopic stereotyping by saying Obama is trying to woo Libertarians (all 3% of the populace that we are) by pardoning dopeheads. Of course, libertarians tend to be more rigid than neocons in their ideology, so it's a little silly to think a liberal guy like Obama is going to win votes by pardoning 5 pot offenders.
But then again, like with everyone else, Freepers smear libertarians by hanging one single issue on their heads. Guess it makes it easier to hate and fear them.
PS - Big shock that there might be a political angle to a pardon. Cripes, how willfully naive can Freepers be. Yes, politics is what politicians do.
