The Freepers just keep burrowing themselves further into their fantasy world. I'm not an Obama fan, but this constant talk of dictators and politburos and Fuhrers shoots right past hyperbole and straight into insanity.

Just think about how long they've been assuming that every move Obama makes is leading to him declaring martial law and making himself "indefinite President."
ReplyDeleteBut then, in the next breath, they complain about him constantly campaigning instead of leading. Why would he need to campaign if his plan is to eliminate the election and declare himself dictator? They can't even follow their own imaginary narrative.
Anon #1, that's the beauty of conspiracy theories. Either every action, no matter how contradictory is part of the conspiracy or a move to throw the theorists off the scent. Or since people only have a limited memory, if you dump enough contradcitory complaints, folks will forget some of them and not point out the contradictions.
ReplyDeleteI'm a CT enthusiast, with a healthy sense of skepticism and common sense. But I've seen many conspiracy theorists that will believe *ANYTHING* face value. Because they simply want to.
That said, the Freepers were worried about Clinton declaring martial law and keeping himself President for Life all the way back in late 2000. Needless to say, nothing of the sort remotely happened. One year later though, their then-hero Giuliani tried to get elections postponed in NYC in the wake of 9/11. So you tell me.
