It's been quite a ride to watch Freepers react to the unbelievably rapid societal shift on gay rights. Declaring themselves victims can only salve their pride so much. So I suppose this newest tactic is unsurprising. Here's how it goes.

1. Small business maks a dubiously operable statement that it won't serve gay marriages.
2. Internet frenzy begins.
3. Some yahoos send death threats.
4. Small business closes due to threats.
5. Evangelicals give thousands and thousands of dollars to oppressed business.
6. Evangelicals declare victory, and thank God.

Who cares if the larger war is irrevocably lost, this one irrelevant battle has been won! VICTORY!

eyedigress wonders if this might at last make reality confirm to his fervent beliefs:

If this hits 1 million you will see these asshats think twice about their so-called influence.

It may even send a message to the rest of Christian America to stand up.

We are under full assault and we have a new avenue to quash it.

I am completely amazed by those attracted to this change of events that the current leadership welcomes.

They are undaunted by their means of life or living and are driven by hatred. It is a very powerful force. They abhor the living. That alone should tell them who they worship.

I've been wondering how far the pendulum could swing into pure-mental-illness before America reached the extent it would tolerate and the correction would begin. Maybe we are there? Certainly it's swung considerably further than I would have bet it could before peaking.

Sounds like a threat enough to call the cops, and it’s a hate crime to boot (maybe even across state lines - it’s federal now). Demand police protection, file for a restraining order. Use their tactics against them.

And - Arm up. Sell the cloak and buy a sword. Mentally prepare to defend yourself.
