"Words had to change their ordinary meaning and to take that which was now given them. Reckless audacity came to be considered the courage of a loyal ally; prudent hesitation, specious cowardice; moderation was held to be a cloak for unmanliness; ability to see all sides of a question, inaptness to act on any. Frantic violence became the attribute of manliness" -Thucydides
"Not completely accurate.
ReplyDeleteHoward Dean let it slip in early 2009 the dems had an attempted assassination plot against Obama planned and Obama was in on the plot.
After Dean let the attempted assassination plot slip out the plot was changed and Hillary then took a trip overseas, Kenya IIRC, and there was an assassination plot against Hillary."

ReplyDeleteAre Freepers getting tired of Cruz already? Are they beginning to suspect he will always put his Latinoness (is that even a word..haha) before all else?
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3284542/posts
Latinoness sounds like it should be a shampoo. Buy Latinoness Silver by Loreal for long lustrous locks.
DeleteTed Cruz's rhetoric is emboldening them to openly discuss making lists and murdering people they don't like.

This goes beyond just being disgruntled from not getting their way, in my opinion.
And they're stupid enough to believe that if they took up arms against the government that the military will be on their side.
DeleteSo much for getting the freep a thon done in 30 days, more like creep a thon am I right?
ReplyDeleteAnd for all the vaunted "New Monthly Donors", the monthly donor count is even lower than it started out at the beginning of this 'thon.

"Watch out. This is happening too often for it to be incidental. Some folks out there are trying to poison the reputation of some sites."

Free Republic is the victim here! Nefarious agents who "plant" stories are to blame, not Free Republic.
FreeRepublic finally gets called out for featuring a blatantly false and racist rumor as fact and goes into defensive mode with a boo-hoo apologetic from Kristinn Taylor.
DeleteGee Kristinn, how about all the other daily loads of racism featured on FR from all the other "blogs" considered to be "Breaking News" there now-a-days?
Remember polar bear hunting? LOL.

All this goes way back at Free Republic. Remember when Hillary murdered her lover Vince Foster?
Honestly, these people are hilarious.
What someone who's honest on Freerepublic really needs to say is that all of them already believe what they want to believe, and then they go in search of stories to try to prove it. That's the only reason for the site to exist. If they really wanted to exchange ideas, they'd listen to some actual ideas once in a while.
DeleteIn the paper today there is this article.
ReplyDeleteFBI director visits El Paso, says reports of ISIS camp across border are 'nonsense'

Free Republic has been all over this, there are half a dozen threads on the subject. Here is one just for fun.
ISIS camp just a stone's throw from U.S. border

Obviously these stories have been "planted" to make Free Republic look bad. Yeah, that's it. It's all a conspiracy to make FR look foolish.
I can see them feverishly searching for any stories at all that link ISIS and Mexico together, however tenuous the connection. They've taken confirmation bias to the level of an art form.
DeleteBEFORE you react -- I want you to consider how both the media AND Freepers would have reacted if the mothers of the Cliven Bundy supporters had shown up and punched them in the head, rather than risking their sons being shot by police.
