Arizona Debate a Santorum Triumph

Always strong with the denial, Freepers have decided Santorum won, cause he managed not to set his own hair on fire. Never mind eating it to continual attacks by Romney and Paul.

svcw didn't like what he saw:
So the liberal and the loon are questioning Santorum.......it’s like a bad movie script.
Ingtar knows Santorum won merely by not acting crazed:
Santorum won, but not for the reason many would think. Newt and Mittens needed for him to melt down, blow up, or forget a cabinet department for them to make any headway. While he might not have won it technically, he did enough to keep the momentum from shifting.
BloodAngel defends Santorum, though:
Is “melted down” code for dismantled Ron and Romney? Because after watching the debate, that is the only connotation in which anything would make sense.....
detective thinks Santorum was dignified:
Paul came off as Romney's brainless hand puppet. He was Romney's stooge, Romney's attack dog.

I kept expecting Romney to give Paul a doggy treat and say “good doggy” after Paul's repeated attacks on Santorum.

Santorum was intelligent and dignified. Santorum came off as a gentlemen against a couple of mean spirited children acting out.
pgkdan hates audiences clapping now:
I wonder what it cost Mitt to bus in that audience last night? What a bunch of goons.
jacknhoo has decided you can't dislike Santorum unless you hate God:
I think we have to take into consideration, when reading responses to pro-Santorum posts, that many people, even here on FreeRepublic, are publicly school-indoctrinated atheistic secularists and that their only claim to conservatism lies in their greed and envy...they're "fiscal" conservatives only. They are corrupt/liberal, socially and religiously and culturally.
They could really not care any less, nor understand any less, the truth that for capitalism to succeed for any extended length of time religious principles of morality must reign and be protected.

It is much like the Tea Party failure...which could have been a long-lasting success story. One cannot claim to be “principled” (i.e. moral) while denying the importance of and the existence of the one and only foundation for true morality (Judeo-Christian principles).

  1. Go Santorum! Beat Romney in Michigan! Become the Republican nominee so Obama will win in a landslide dwarfing 1984!

  3. I just love the fact that Gingrich is basically a ghost now in Freeperland. The way these guys go through candidates is hilarious. First it was Palin, then Perry, then Cain, then Gingrich, now Santorum. Each and every time that candidate has been the magical white horse they would ride into hell...until a couple days later when things started to change and they jumped ship to another candidate.
