Wisconsin gay marriage ban ruled unconstitutional

It's been really interesting seeing Freepers cope with the galloping progress gay marriage has made judicially and popularly. After their initial scorn and anger when the opinions began coming, soon the frequency and unanimity could not be denied. They turned to grumbling about judges, but surveys made it clear that America was not behind them.

So they began to back off. They discussed ending the Federal institution of marriage, until Jim Robinson made it clear that such thinking was a zotting offence. Then the threads got smaller and smaller, mostly with grumblings about the coming revolution - the last refuge of Freepers when they know they have lost.

But I have seen a recent uptick in their interest in the issue. I'm not sure why - maybe it's a push in the right-wing media I haven't seen before the midterms. But the interest comes with a pretty strong break from reality. From revolution to Constitutional Amendment to dickery as civil disobedience, Freepers' last gasp of anti-gay marriage sentiment is something to behold, as here they respond to a recent Wisconsin decision on the issue.

demshateGod is making with the dark grumblings:
I just really doubt we’re going to put up with this much longer. Let them have their fun.
docbnj really hates having to watch...something?
I just really doubt we’re going to put up with this much longer. Let them have their fun.

Just don’t make me watch!
It' settled. I'm a guy, but I need to find a way to have Oliviaforever's children. Such sarcasm cannot be allowed to perish from this Earth.
It’s that darn 14th Amendent.

It should have been repealed after Recinstruction.
Pilgrim's Progress seems to have forgotten Bush v. Gore.
So, if we were to vote in a conservative president, can a liberal judge now declare the election void based on her own desires?

Right now they are doing something very similar by overturning the will of the majority on moral issues.
NKP_Vet sure does paint a picture:
Another bull dyke judge overrules the will of the people. And as usual a republican governor cowers down to her like a dog in heat.
Blood of Tyrants is treading on thin ice:
The right of marriage lies with the states EXCLUSIVELY as guaranteed by the 10th Amendment. There is no such thing as a federal marriage license.
Even manc makes an appearance!
many on here care more about Tiger Woods dating a new woman than issues like this , and issues which the radical left push onto us.
ecomcon blames our sinful society:
All of this is happening because the people are corrupt and distracted by entertainment and have a pride-of-life, relativist, secular worldview.

Most Americans say they are Christians but obey the dictates of the Judges Of Sodom.
max americana is sure there is thoughtcrime laws:
I dont recognize the fag crap either, guess we’re breaking laws now eh LOL

I thought the right had a massive hard-on for Scott Walker? FR will probably get hard for him soon again, especially come 2015 if he runs for president (probably)

  3. As to what I meant to post here -

Ozzie - keep digging the fun stuff out.

Euph, ay, B, packman - keep with the wit and arguments. They are fun to read. See you all in a couple weeks, kk? I am heading for the land of sun, heat, dust, more heat, bad food, still more heat, terrible water, yet another load of heat, and a charming occupational hazard we call the vibe shits.

Should (supposedly) have an internet connection. Nothing fast, but at least I will be able to read. If anyone wants to lay down the basics of typing on a tablet without going insane, let me know.

    2. If by "one of the few" you mean "one of the few idiots who are stupid enough to do this" - yep :)

Wife says the way to check if I am dead is to show me a pretty woman (not difficult, most women are pretty). If there is no response, show me a gunship and let me hear her start up!

Like I say - talk in a few weeks. Hoping one week - but the inking is for 3. Depends what happens.

  6. "Just don’t make me watch!"

Guys,I dunno if I'm supposed to tell you this yet, as I've just been sworn in by my local homo recruiter. But, the truth is that by baking a cake for a gay wedding you are obligated, by force of law, to watch what happens on wedding night.

Are you forced to watch the girls' wedding nights, too?

  7. Has anyone been following the soccer threads on FR? Am I the only one amused at the fact they hate this sport pretty much because so many brown people love it?

    1. You'd think it would be (insert common stereotypes of soccer) instead of going to skin color.
