Anti-incumbent fever

The increasingly amusing conflict between Freepers who retain a vestage of pragmatism and those whose self-image insists on unrealistic purity continues. In this case, out-of-state Freepers advocate that super conservative Kansas politician Pat Roberts lose his primary versus a largely untested challenger, for no other reason than that he's a politician.

After the Mississippi primary, Viennacon now hates everyone.
I was really neutral about this primary before the race baiting. With what we saw in Mississippi, this is just unacceptable. Go Wolf.
Osage Orange knows caring about votes makes you no true conservative:
Roberts votes exactly like any true conservative would vote.

So....then you've outed yourself....?
Osage Orange - Congressmen merely voting to be insufficient.
Roberts is a DO NOTHING Pubbie...just like Coburn and Inhofe!!!

They DO NOT FIGHT BACK!! Oh yeah they say a couple things now and again...But there's NO FIGHT!!!!

WE ARE LOSING OUR COUNTRY!!! And THEY are silent!!!!
COBOL2Java doesn't trust the numbers:
Pat Roberts gets a 93% from Heritage - http://www.heritageactionscorecard.com/members/member/R000307

Absolutely useless rating. The Lords and Ladies inside the Beltway game their votes to give the veneer of conservatism, so flyover country can pull up these "93%" ratings and say "See? See? He's a conservative!"

Those ratings are about as useful as tits on a snake.
Of course, COBOL2Java

COBOL2Java's entire ideology is supplemented by talking points from Heritage, but he will still resent and distrust them. What a renegade!

vette6387 knows the problem is listening to the voters.
The truth is, Roberts should have been replaced thirty years ago, but like a lot of other states, Kansas voters don’t really care who they have representing them from the looks or it. One day, not far off as I see it, people like you are going to wake up and be completely surprised that the country they thought they had is gone!

I guess you are also o.k. with all those voters deciding that they want the RATs so they will get all that “free $hit” too. I mean after all, “it’s what they want,”right?

Good Senators: Lee and Cruz. Not much else!
ncfool is having none of this bellyaching, though.
Your not a Kansan but Sh-t disturber. You have posted the Anti-Roberts message thread many times in the last year from your Liberal state of Massachusetts. Why don’t you work on getting some conservatives elected there?

  1. Let's face it, these people never had any ideas worth the soap box or the ballot box to begin with. They're itching for the ammo box, because they're angry and lazy.

  2. I can see their point about the soap box, irrespective of the value of their ideas. No sense preaching if no one hears. Even less sense preaching if it's only the choir that hears.

The ballot box requires work. Making calls, getting out and meeting people (and charming them long enough for them to listen). It's tiring. Hard work. Anyone who has worked a campaign can tell you that. It's also depressing as hell.

There were a bit of a laugh here about JimRob heading to the border. Sure - I have my serious doubts as to his motives - but at least he went. He showed up.

As far as the ammo box goes - I will give you a quote from probably the smartest man to ever grace publication. "Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent."
