  1. Gotta love the guys who think abortion is the greatest crime on Earth talking about how dangerous muslim men are to women!

On the other hand if you watch the extended edition of Apocalypse now there's a scene where they steal one of his surfboards.
Later in the movie they're in the boat hiding in the jungle hiding from his helicopter as Kilgore asks over loadspeaker to kindly return the surfboard. Its pretty damn funny if you like the extended edition.

  3. "but lots of Muslim men are basically normal around women. I work with quite a few here in DC!"
    ------------------------------------
They are "normal" because they are outnumbered. Look and see what happens when muslims populations expand and start pushing their religion.

Overgeneralizing? I have seen what is happening in Sweden, Germany, What happened to Laura Logan in Egypt...on and on.

Don't keep you head in the sand oxy

  4. Haha no, I've talked to them, and they are just normal people with a different faith. They are not waiting to throw of their mantle and start dominating women.

Not all Islam is sharia, and not all sharia is Wahabi, those are just the ones that get the headlines.

When you meet accusations of over-generalization with a bunch of anecdotes...you're doing it wrong.

  5. Again once Muslims gain power and control things change. Residents are the city are also complaining about the loud call to prayer speaker all over the city blaring 5 times per day starting at 6:00 am..look it up

From Detroit News. "Business owners within 500 feet of one of Hamtramck’s four mosques can’t obtain a liquor license, she complained, a notable development in a place that flouted Prohibition-era laws by openly operating bars. The restrictions could thwart efforts to create an entertainment hub downtown, said the pro-commerce mayor."
As the Muslim population keeps increasing alchohol sales in the city will be terminated you wait and see.

One day you will realize I am right. Muslim culture will never assimilate with Western culture.

  6. Oh, I think the Muslim prayer thing sucks, just as I would think your Christian hypo would suck.

But it would be completely legal, and it wouldn't threaten Western Civilization.

And I would make a distinction between a gay cake and a cake for a gay couple. You can refuse the first, you cannot refuse the second.

  7. Again i fit was Christian churches banning beer within 500 feet liberals 9and conservatives)would be out in pithfordks but when muslims do it= crickets

  11. Those church bells are not as loud as call to prayer 5 times pr day 7 days per week. The call to prayer is also demanded of all muslims. Never seen a christian church demand people to pray or attend church.

  13. This is getting really deep into Internet pedantry now.

You started arguing all Muslim males rapists, and now you're quibbling about the relative loudness of Muslim versus Christian calls to prayer.

And your understanding of what Muslims versus Christians require re: praying and attendance shows you don't know much about either.

  15. anon1 is usually pretty cool, actually pretty interesting, except when you hit his button, which is race.

Then all of a sudden, it becomes an "attack on Christians", for some reason.

  16. another dollop o' buttah for this morning's toast ...

"I wonder if pushing for sharia is defined as a seditious act."

"Our current culture that is filling our jails with young people is also creating young people particularly conditioned to become Muslim converts. The Islamists and communists are closely aligned with each other in their goals, and people like George Soros have embraced both. They work together to destroy the common enemy: freedom. And they are like a boa wrapping around the neck of this nation from head end and from tail end. Unless we realize what’s going on and do something to stop it, we’re boa-chow."

  17. I agree with anon1 in the sense that many Muslim cultures have a long way to go in their treatment of women. But that doesn't mean I think they should be denied the freedom to worship as they see fit while they are in the U.S., as long as they are not infringing on the rights of other American women (including American Muslim women). This does not mean I am pro-Muslim. It means I am pro-Freedom of Religion.

See, your problem, anon1 is that you are thinking in black and white terms. It's the fallacy of the false dilemma. Liberals do not love Muslims because both hate Christians. The majority of liberals are Christians, after all. Liberals hate the way Muslim women are treated in many parts of the world, but support their right to have their own beliefs. It's a complex issue which you have grossly oversimplified in an apparent attempt to justify your blanket hatred of all Muslims.

  19. Well, all that back and forth and no answer to your original question? Just as Ozy said, the human rights issues are problematic in many Islamic countries, but there are still ones that cut the mustard. And more than the bare mins 1 you asked for. Here ya go, then:
"By this measure, the 34 Muslim countries on this list don’t have a solid record on gender equality. Just eight crack the top 100 -- Kazakhstan (43), Kyrgyzstan (67), Bangladesh (68), Senegal (77), Albania (83), Azerbaijan (94), Indonesia (97) and Brunei (98)."

" Of 48 majority-Muslim countries, homosexual relations are legal in 13: Albania, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Burkina Faso, Chad, Djibouti, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Mali, Tajikistan and Turkey."

The full article with details on what data they're citing is here:
