Nullification Fever

A number of governors aren't going to implement Obamacare's exchanges until the results of the 2012 election come in.

Of course, the law empowers the Feds to do it for them if they fail to meet the deadline.

Freepers, in full straw-grasping mode, mistake this for some sort of rebellion:

RKBA Democrat is getting fitted for a tricorner hat:
Sometimes people have their dates with destiny. Patrick Henry and Sam Houston had theirs. I think Rick Perry might, just might, be about to have his.
RKBA Democrat also wants states that he doesn't live in to secede:
I can’t really say I’m a secessionist as I do not favor Virginia secession at this time. But it isn’t for me to say that other states shouldn’t. In the case of a few states, I think there is a compelling case that could be made. Both TX and LA are states that are blessed with their own coastlines, ports, abundant natural resources, and robust populations. Not to mention histories of having gone it alone.
Eye of Unk - "The deadly game of chess has begun!"
I have a good feeling Obama won’t wake up to a sunny bright morning full of orange juice, skittles and birds singing in the garden come monday. Nope. instead he will get a report of a national non compliance to any demands of Obamacare from the states themselves. It will be then become a deadly game of chess as now Obama must find a way to create enough fear to the governors, something that they will back down to.
Eye of Unk further explains how Obamataxcare = Mad Max:
Those states will also have an exodus, ghost towns will arise, it will be a mass migration to evade the spreading stain of the Obamataxcare. the poor, the homeless, the sick will flock to any of the pro-care states thus overwhelming what meager health facilitries still in operation. Throw in an epidemic and then you truly have an apocalyptic scenario.
Don Corleone thinks sour grapes should play well nationally:
So the states refuse to send their tax receipts to Washington. Who looses? Its a (Pardon the expression) Mexican standoff.
eyedigress also with the civil war 2:
Yep. It’s time for the states to stand up to the fed. This time North and South.
itssme is ready to make sacrifices in the coming war of pettiness!
Michele Bachmann said in an interview on Mark Levin's show Friday that we must not aid the enemy...we must thwart every action, and throw obstacles in the path of the enemy. In war, creature comforts, jobs, property, lives are lost. It's a fact that you sometimes must lose in order to WIN.
1FreeAmerican has an interesting concept of Federalism:
Withholding Federal Funds as a political tool is RACKETEERING and probably prosecutable.
