Taglines!

Lots to get to. Chilcot, Newt's dusky sympathies, Trump and the Senate, and presumably some Veep action too!

But there's always time for...TAGLINES!

Sequoyah101 does not seem to enjoy life:
(It feels like we have exchanged our dreams for survival. We just have a few days that don't suck.)
wastoute knows being bumper-sticker ready is more important than making sense:
(Government cannot redistribute wealth. Government can only redistribute poverty.)
In this day and age, Vigilanteman is still birthin' it up:
(ObaMao: Fake America, Fake Messiah, Fake Black man. How many fakes can you fit into one Zer0?)
 rwoodward said guns twice.
 ("god, guns and more ammo")
Cheerio  goes with the ever popular 'Obama killed us' theme:
(Barry Hussein Soetoro-0bama=The Complete Destruction of American Capitalism)
Deo volente urges preemptive eradication of...them. Multipurpose! Could be liberals, could be Muslims, could be Mexicans.
(They want to eradicate us, and will never stop. We need to eradicate them first.)
Pollster1's posts do not live up to his tag:
(Somebody who agrees with me 80% of the time is a friend and ally, not a 20% traitor. - Ronald Reagan)
JBW1949 has just discovered acronyms are something:
 (I'm really PC....PATRIOTICALLY CORRECT!!!!)
bunkerhill7  is another Freeper coming out for civilians owning nukes:
((("The Second Amendment has no limits on firepower"-NY State Senator Kathleen A. Marchione."))))))
bassmaner protests how not guilty his is a bit too stridently:
(Hey commies: I am a' white male, and I am guilty of NOTHING! Sell your 'white guilt' elsewhere.)
Lazamataz's latest attempt to outdo everyone in anti-Muslim bigotry:
(Hillary: "Weapons of war have no place on our streets."... Laz: "Muslims are weapons of war.")
T-Bone Texan wants to live like a move terrorist:
(Don't be a lone wolf. Form up small leaderlesss cells ASAP !)
So...what does DungeonMaster  have to say bout JimRob's tagline "rebellion against tyrants is obedience to god?"
(Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.)
Lisbon1940 only likes Sarah Palin:
 (No full-term Governors)
Adder is another America RIP-er.
(No, Mr. Franklin, we could NOT keep it.)
blam is doing what he can for the segregationist cause:
 (Jeff Sessions For President)
Tolerance Sucks Rocks is another Freeper in service of 4chan:
(Cuckservative: a "conservative" willing to raise another country's ideology in his own country)
\/\/ayne boasts of his rejection of old media:
(I regret that I have but one subscription cancellation notice to give to my local newspaper.)
Don W's weird boast must not count sports fans as white:
( When blacks riot, neighborhoods and cities burn. When whites riot, nations and continents burn)

  1. If I interpret DonW correctly, he's saying black riots are more peaceful and localized than white riots...

    1. Yes
The law, justice, and potentially reason are all lies
There is only force, and whites have the most, and must use it to reestablish their racial dominance
      It's pretty depressing

  2. Hey you left out my last tagine: (Always vote. Always vote your conscience. God wins every election)

    1. Hmmm...No calls for theocracy or civil war...no nihilistic lamentations America is dead...

Sorry, you're being outcompeted in the arena of extremism!

Though some of your posts could have made some good taglines of sufficient...departure from the status quo (especially when removed from their context for maximum effect!)

      "Compulsory abortion will probably follow"
      "End The Fed"
      "Contraception is hatred of faith"

And I dunno if theTheophilus was also you, but "Along with Islam, Sodomy doesn't get along with anyone else" is really strong.

    2. I think by definition, "sodomy" needs to get along with at least one other person?

    3. My intended reply got posted below. I'm not "The Theophilus" I'll have to check out his posts.

  3. At first I thought DungeonMaster was just a D&D fan. But then his tagine rails against magic, so... that implies a while different kinda dungeon he's the "master" of, right?

    *retch*

  4. Here's a fun one. The shooter at the Berrien County Courthouse turns out to be white guy. Freepers look for evidence that he's not. Analysis of cheekbones and nose width ensues.

  5. For many of my 17 FR years my tagline was positive: (be as prolifc as you are pro-life). If conservatives had rejected misanthropy and embraced their God given fecundity, the political landscape would be radically different. Our posterity would be the coin of the realm not the Fed's fiat dollars. We don't need to outlaw birth control, we just need to stop using it.

    Genesis 1:28

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

"The disruptive powers of excessive national fecundity may have played a greater part in bursting the bonds of convention than either the power of ideas or the errors of autocracy." - John Maynard Keynes

    1. So, honest curiosity, what is your opinion on the current state of Free Republic? It's community, general direction, etc.

    2. I think Jim Rob and many others are desperate to win and are very bitter about the endless betrayals of the GOP. The project on Trump the image of what they want him to be and he seems to have a genius at facilitating that.

I think FR is like the rest of the US and the world in becoming increasingly misanthropic. Anyone who doesn't tow our line or increase our bottom line is a liability.

    3. So you're one of those "if only white people had kept having babies, we'd out number those minorities"?

      Gross.

    4. I'm trying to be open minded and respectful toward a relative newcomer here who seems sincere, but how can someone from Free Republic possibly reconcile this:
"We don't need to outlaw birth control, we just need to stop using it."
With the blanket hatred of almost everyone on Earth who is different, especially the "poors" who seem to be the scapegoat for all the ills of society? You can't honestly tell me you want the "poors" to keep being fecund.

    5. I can see how both you guys are coming to that conclusion re: Theo. But honestly, isn't that what the right to abortion is? That is to say, the right to choose?

I get that he may be think it will result in religious people ruling the earth in the long term. I disagree. We can't see through time for long term results, so all you can do is agree to disagree.

But if he isn't trying to fight against my reproductive rights, I'm okay with that.

      Delete
    6. Pro-life doesn't see it as "your reproductive rights", it is a question of your right to kill someone who (through no fault of their own) happens to get in your way. It is trying to restrict contraception that abridges your "right to choose".

      Delete
    7. Abortifacient contraception is abortion. And conservative, evangelical churches are chock-full of sincere "pro-lifers" who may be blissfully aborting their own babies on any given month. Abortion is like suicide, the best way to start stopping it is to stop doing it yourself.

In the Bible, having "dominion over the earth" does not mean having dominion over one's fellow man.

    8. You can make an argument that hormonal contraception, coils etc. are very early term abortion, but no such argument exists for barrier methods.

The logical position of a pro-lifer is therefore fully in favor of condoms. Conversely, failure to do this fatally undermines logical coherency and dives down a purely theocratic rabbit hole.

    9. Like raincoats in the shower, condoms defeat both the pleasure and the purpose.

  6. @Jay Upton we're all image bearers of God. I don't want anyone to exterminate their babies.

    Luke 10:27

And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

    3. A few observations.

      1. Theophilus has the humility to realize his position on contraception comes from faith, not rationality.
      2. He's also not arguing it's murder, which is a step up from many. He's also quite civil about it, at least on this site.
      3. That being said, I have two issues with that position. First, it's effect on society would be to create much less liberty, both in terms of sexual freedom and marriages, and in terms of women being pregnant a lot more and thus returning to being homemakers, whether they want to or not.
      4. Theophilus seems to have a semi-rational argument that following his faith's directives would have a good result - i.e. that if conservatives had more kids, there would be more conservatives.
But I don't think that's right; historically demography is not destiny, and this is doubly true when the demography is something as ephemeral as ideology. Indeed, having more children could make parents realize the importance of the social safety net and turn liberal!

Anyhow, glad you're sticking around Theo - civil debate is almost as fun as mocking the really kooky ones! Also, I had a comment on Calvinism a few days back I would like your input on.
