That's another one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. More of your taxes go to funding tax cuts for the super rich and the mega corporations (who, thanks to tax law loopholes, avoid paying most taxes but we keep giving them more and more of our tax dollars anyway) than to benefits for union members. Give a dollar to a struggling middle class person and they will immediately spend it. Give a dollar to a wealthy person and it may never be spent.
