Evil, evil Loretta Lynch.

This is a story for over a week ago. Usually, when I get behind and stories get stale, I abandon them. But this is too good to pass up.

The new AG's confirmation was held up procedurally, mostly to be a thorn in Obama's side - there wasn't much bad to say against her other than that Obama liked her.

But Freepers are not constrained by facts, and require a noble rationale for even the pettiest actions. Which leaves them with empty partisan bluster about how evil Lynch is.

ealgeone just wants revenge for things that happened 30 years ago.
She shoulda been “Borked”.
Uncle Miltie doesn't seem to understand how irrelevant the right's knee-jerk anti-Obama attitude has made them:
largely uncontroversial nominee

Yeah, right.
Liberty Valance knows what's next:
And Eric Holder laughs all the way to the Supreme Court.
To be joined by Obama, I hear!
And then no black people will be sent to jail ever.

Repealthe17thAmendment thinks the Senate should have held out for an AG who was going to indict Obama for continuing Bush's drone policies:
Yeah, on the day that the president admits that he killed innocent people and takes full responsibility; the GOP approves an attorney general that will not hold him responsible.
tpmintx hates it when the leadership bows to political necessity:
McConnell Sold out!

McConnell Sold out!

McConnell Sold out!

McConnell Sold out!

Am I clear?
Ted Cruz was the lone absence. conservativejoy knows who to blame!
I wouldn’t doubt that McConnell knew that Ted had a flight to catch and a commitment he couldn’t miss and delayed the vote deliberately. They stood around scratching their behinds for three hours!
stephenjohnbanker is also unhappy the new AG won't impeach Obama:
D.C. Republican leadership is guilty of treason.

This woman told the whole Senate that POTUS is above the Constitution, and they confirmed her.
mulligan, too:
The 56 should be in jail. Un-American idiots, all of them.
freedumb2003 heard she was black. This allows a number of conclusions:
A racist inept lawyer, just like the predecessor — what could possibly go wrong?
Sarah Barracuda did some research in right wing blogs, and found something damming from decades ago!
These 6 Republicans who voted for her are SCUM pure SCUM..they could have easily done 5 minutes of research and found out that Lynch was part of a group in college that was anti Israel and Pro Palestinian..so either these Republicans didnt care to do the research or they flat out don’t care..and either way both make me sick
panaxanax also just fills in his preferred hobby-horse, and throws in some racism too.
Thank you for posting the names of the Republicans (traitors) that voted in favor of placing yet another one of 0bama’s anti-gun affirmative action idiots to a position of authority.
This is last straw #1270 for sport:
She has admitted that she would violate the law from day one. This is one more insult and screw you, we will do as we please and you, by god, will do as we say from the politicians. And if we take it, we deserve everything they do to us. It makes me sick.
CivilWarBrewing's gut tells him all about her:
"uncontroversial!!! anti 2nd amendment, pro civil forfeiture, pro ILLEGAL amnesty, said illegals have as much right to jobs as us!!!"

You omitted "anti-Semite" and regular old whitey hater. She strikes me as one of those 'black theology' types.
CivilWarBrewing then takes his delusions to their logical conclusion:
The GOOD NEWS is, after many months of screwing up as our new DOJ AG, I THINK HER DEPLORABLE ACTIONS WILL HURT HILLARY’S CHANCES AT GETTING ELECTED. The best man for the job is a female? Lynch’s pathetic stance on issues will HURT Hillary!
Rodentking also equates black with racist:
Once again, we have the futility of voting demonstrated to us. We send “Republicans” to the Senate and they vote to confirm a fringe racist dedicated to the overturning of the Constitution to be the Attorney General of the United States. Yes, elections do have consequences, no matter what happens the government controls all and we move closer to the Fourth Reich.
ColdOne predicts worse than Holder:
She will be worse. Holder was confined because Obama wanted to get re-elected. Now no one is stopping him. She will have a grand ole time breaking all laws, making whitey and tea party Christian types pay for all the sins of the founders.
Major Matt Mason wants to take it out on some poor Congressional interns:
Even though the vote is a done deal, no harm in burning up the phone lines to the Senate GOP to inform them that they are truly a bunch of worthless, lawless losers, and that those that voted 'Yea' that are up for re-election in 2016 will be challenged. It's time to go on the attack against the RINO's.
Diana in Wisconsin is just pure frustration:
Well, I guess I’ll be sitting out his next election. Jerk! Time for Feingold to swoop back in. Aarrggghhh!
Lazamataz makes a promise he will never keep:
I’d be fine with Cruz running as an independent. I couldn’t possibly care less about the GOP at this point.

I go one step further: If Cruz runs as a Republican, I can't vote for him.

The Republican brand is as -- no, MORE -- poisoned than the Democrat brand.

  2. ...one of those 'black theology' types

I'm not clear what his definition of a "black theology" is, but even so...how dare blacks have a theology! Amirite?

    1. When you look at the history of the Southern Baptist Convention, which split off from northern baptists over the issue of slave owners becoming missionaries, and then split again rather than allow freedmen to join in the same church, it becomes much clearer.

    2. Jay, I feel like I'm pretty well-educated- I have two undergraduate degrees and a MA in politics; I've never known what you've written about and I thank you for it! I think you might be onto something. I was amazed to see the 200% increase in Baptists during Reconstruction, especially since most other religions in early America were urging manumission and the end of slavery...Baptists gave a bastion of hope for those with the belief of white supremacy.

It's interesting to see the timeline and how that is still well-regarded in today's Southern Baptist community.
