The Romney Purge

Well, it's happened. Founding Freeper Jim Robinson has banned all the Romney supporters on Free Republic, much like he did for Giulliani supporters 4 years ago.

As with many regimes, everyone compliments the purge, either out of fear of fanaticism. Though on Free Republic, mostly fanaticism.

Well Jim, that is certainly a relief. Even though Romney will most likely get the GOP nomination, that simply illustrates why the GOP is dead to most conservatives.

Now if we can get conservatives to embrace the true meaning of the 1A, just like they do the 2A, then perhaps this poor Republic may have a chance.

I think the ban is more about sending a message rather than eliminating the message Romney supporters push.

And the message being sent is, in part, this: as conservatives we are taking a stand once and for all against supporting RINO's foisted upon us by the establishment in the Republican Party. They are no longer welcome in this conservative circle because they relentlessly legislate away our liberty after obtaining our votes through bald faced lies.

I think of it this way: If I ever caught my wife cheating she'd be banned from my life, as in divorce. Free Republic has officially divorced itself from the RINO wing of the Republican Party.

Tennessee Nana doesn't much care what will happen if Romney wins the nomination:
