Freepers love Catholicism. It's old, authoritarian, and doesn't like Obama, what's not to like? Especially when there is a strong vein of right wingers among the generally Democrat-voting Catholic populace. Here, Freepers attempt to explain all those Catholic Obama voters:

 Heh, my b-i-l, the priest, says that, in his opinion, by the time Drinan died, he looked like a wizened old demon, and it was probably the result of his betrayal of the Church in favor of liberal Democrats.

 Mrs. Don-o thinks the problem with Catholicism is all those Catholics, plus Satan.

Sometimes the success of evil simply floors me. Satan indeed exists. And when he takes over a man, he lets him retain his name and his clothes --- which makes the captive an even more diabolically useful asset.
