Still not sold on Romney

Anti-Romney holdouts are getting progressively more rare, and more crazy.

Graewoulf, whom we've met before, has a long post about how Romney is unelectable and will be dumped at the Tampa convention.

 The results are rather amusing:

Graewoulf kicks things off:
At present, Romney has the advantage to win the Republican Nomination at the August Tampa Convention. The question to be asked is as follows:
"If it is going to be realized that in the last week of October that Romney will probably lose to Obama a week later by at least 5 %, will you not regret that you did not do your best to replace Romney at an OPEN Convention?"
Post your ideas for or against Romney becoming the Republican Nominee here. ( Jim's truce applies on this thread, IF your manners are spotless, IMHO, and of course, Jim's Opinion).
The best part is the actual article he wrote, though. You should check it out. Warning - MANY CAPS.

Drew68 does not like:
This idiocy is what has turned this once stellar forum from serious, intelligent discussion to the unhinged ramblings of cranks and petulant children totally divorced from reality.
Charles Henrickson notes how Romney is totally better than McCain:
Romney will likely be a MUCH, much better candidate than McCain. McCain was a HORRIBLE candidate, politically. A DISASTER in his debates with Obama. Romney will be much better.
Furthermore, Obama basically ran against Bush, who was very unpopular. Bush ain't running this time. This time the bad economy will be on Obama. There is no magic, no pizzazz, this time for Obama. But there IS a HUGE case of "buyer's remorse" among a lot of those who voted for Obama last time.
Melas thinks convention shenanigans are what Communists do.
Personally, I am not, and will not vote for Romney. That said, he has to be the nominee. He won the primaries that’s all there is to it. If by some parliamentary chicanery the RNC were to choose another candidate the message to voters would be simple: Don’t bother, we know what’s best for you.
The idea itself is evocative of the Communist Party or the Nazi Party, where the party itself was more powerful than the sum of it’s individual leaders.
 Windflier wants Allen West:
Although I'd like to see Allen West get a lot more seasoning under his belt before running for president, I'm afraid the desperation of the times calls more for character, than experience. He's precisely the sort of strong-willed patriot that we need in the White House now.
If one million patriots could all agree on going to Tampa and forcing West's nomination at the convention, I believe it could work. Nothing less than something of that magnitude will bring it about.
pgkdan is angry at this false hope:

This sh*t is just stupid, pointless and destructive. Put te crack pipe away. Romney is the last man standing. He will be the GOP nominee and he is therefore, our ONLY chance to defeat obama.

  2. The middle of this one includes some weird conspiracy theory from JudgemAll I am not quite able to decipher, and sidelines into debate about whether women should submit to men or not. Looks like it could be a fertile thread
