"My Mom, age 70, continues to idolize Obama"

Wow, Anonymous, you are a champion, this here is amazing!

Freepers sometimes have to interact with liberals. Sometimes they're family members. I'd imagine they mostly grin and bear it, as one does. But on the internet Freepers can be the assholes they wish they could be when advising this one Freeper what to do about his non-Freeper mother:

Responsibility2nd thinks everyone knows there are Death Panels, but some don't care:
Your Mom probably thinks she is too young to worry about Obama’s Death Panels. But no matter, she needs to study up on this. And so much more.
ILS21R thinks elder abuse is the way:
Pour a tall glass of cold water. Take a small sip and then throw the rest in her face. It’s called tough love.
HarleyD thinks it's all about creating disgust:
Take her to a gay rights celebration and let her see the debauchery. Or how about showing her a video on how an abortion is performed. With due respect to your mother, these people sound noble but they don't have a clue as to what they're talking about. And if they can still hold the same views after witnessing these things, quite frankly I wouldn't want anything to do with them. I've written off a number of people this way.
Alright, who gave mjp a thesaurus?
typical libtard mentalities

1) clueless
2) stuck on stupid
3) just doesn't get it
4) ignorance is bliss
5) emotionalist
6) concrete bound mentality
MarineBrat thinks yelling NAZI is the way:
Remind her of what Socialists have become in the past after they consolidate power. It’s like feeding gremlins after midnight. There’s the National Socialists of NAZI Germany. There’s the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. At her age she’s well aware of them. Socialists are the malignant spawn of evil after they consolidate their power. Before they consolidate their power they wear a mask.

Tell her it’s not a right and left thing as defined in the media that she watches. It’s a desire of some people to consolidate power into a smaller and smaller clique of people. That is socialism. And their opposite is those that want political power to be cast wide and far so as to not become a concentrated malignancy.
Obama_Is_Sabotaging_America just yells NAZI, doesn't really comment about the Mom:
Hitler promised social justice and look what happened. Does your mom care about her children’s futures and their children’s futures? Because if 0bama gets four more years THEY’LL BE ENSLAVED TO THE GOVERNMENT’S DEBT THROUGH EXCESSIVE TAXATION WHICH WILL DESTROY THEIR LIVELIHOODS.
EDINVA has troubles of his own:
2 of my cherished offspring are (or were) big on Obama. We avoid political discussion altogether now.

I will never, ever in a million years understand it. They were raised better than that. They KNOW better. Still, they are swept away with his nonsense, his cliches.

I am tempted to tell them that I’m voting for Obama, too... if that’s the kind of country they want to live in, who am I to deny them? I’ll be gone by the time the full impact of his policies kick in; they won’t
1rudeboy won't let his Dad vote if he's voting wrong:
My elderly father, who loves being a contrarian, told me he is voting for Obama. So I told him to make other plans on Election Day, because I won’t drive him to the polling location. My mom won’t, either.
pgkdan agrees - screw Democracy, Dad shouldn't vote if he'll vote wrong:
My folks wanted to vote for Clinton in 1996 and depended on me to get them to the polls. I refused. My father was furious and said I was denying him his right to vote. I explained that I was doing no such thing. I was exercising my right to decide who gets to ride in my car and when.
madison10 is on of them parasites Freepers keep talking about:
I have family that won’t vote as they don’t like Romney. If it weren’t for the fact someone may have to take care of me when I’m old and gray, I’d never send them another gift.
fatnotlazy totally converted her aunt in totally real story that definitely happened:
My aunt (and godmother) was an Obama fan. Around the time Obamacare was passed, we talked by phone and she was gushing about how wonderful it was going to be. I set her straight and told her if she didn't believe me, she should do her own research. Now my aunt knows nothing about computers or the internet, but she went to her local library and, with the librarian's help, actually looked it all up.

Ever since, the mere mention of “Obama” gives her fits.
RetiredTexasVet relays that a little Googling and everyone hates Obama!
My elderly neighbor asked me what I thought of the Food Stamp President. I told her that I thought he was a communist and a junkie. She gave me a strange look. I told her to watch his face, especially his eyes during his appearances. I also asked her to look up Social Justice, fairness, redistribution of wealth, etc. I suggested a good place to start was the web site for the Communist Party USA. She had a little different opinion when I spoke to her yesterday.
Magic Fingers's grandmother has the appropriate, Obama-murdering attitude:
My 86 year-old mom enjoys trimming tree branches in her yard with her electric chain saw. The only thing she’d enjoy more is turning it on Zero’s scrawny arse if he ever got within the reach of the extension cord.

  1. Ha ha ha. One freeper may have a thesaurus, but another one dearly needs to look in a dictionary:

"It’s a desire of some people to consolidate power into a smaller and smaller clique of people. That is socialism."

Really. The way they throw around words like socialism and communism and Marxism. Do they even have the slightest idea what they mean?
