Government Shutdown looming yet again

Republicans added some kinda oil thing to the budget deal they'd worked out in the house, so Democrats voted against it. Now, without a budget, the government will shutdown this Friday, Dec. 17.

Even Freepers are getting a bit tired of this. But they still love the idea of a government shutdown, for some reason:

tcrlaf
thinks a shutdown is just what Dems want, so now it's bad!

Remember, Democrats DO NOT WANT a deal on the budget, they WANT to be able to blame Repubs for a shutdown, with Obama, Reid, and Pelosi parading around with their righteous, faked indignation for the next three weeks.

truthkeeper still thinks the shutdown is awesome:
How much money do we save if the government shuts down?
We would pay all that money back with interest, but the point is truthkeeper doesn't need government.

jeffc thinks a Republican President would be hurt by this, but Obama will be helped:

It’s all in how the media (the Democrat Party propaganda arm) spin it.
Congress sends bill to President or the government shuts down.

Democrat President doesn’t sign it: Congress’ fault for sending “unusable” bill;

Repub President doesn’t sign it: President’s fault for not giving in.

ngat is feeling teased by the shutdown always getting averted for a bit:
How many times do we have to put up with the “government shutdown” threat this year?

Every time Boehner compromises, supposedly avoiding the dreaded government shutdown and resulting “propoganda victory” for the Democrats, three or four months later it rears its ugly head again
