Chris Mathews puts forth that compromise is an American virtue. Freepers, unfamiliar with how Congress works, disagree.

SECURE AMERICA equates all life with war, and compromise with defeat:

Matthews is an idiot. He has no clue about America.
America was never about compromise. It was founded by folks that refused to compromise.
We had a Civil War because we refused to compromise.
We WON World War 1 and World War 2 because we refused to compromise.
We won the Space Race because we refused to compromise.
The we started compromising. We lost the Vietnam War. Our Space program is effectively ended and we ended up with an Idiot that doesn’t even like America as President.
So no Matthews America is not supposed to be about COMPROMISE..............

That Civil War was awesome. And America WON both World Wars ourselves.

To to Matthews, “Americanism” is compromise.

That would mean that America should have compromised with Hitler. America should have compromised with the Japanese. America should have compromised with the Ku Klux Klan. America should have compromised with the Muslim terrorists before they attacked us on 9/11.

So why do the 20% of the population that are liberal think they have the right to tell the 80% how things are supposed to be done in a democratic/republic type society. Demorats and liberals are the ones that are un-AMERICAN!
